Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm back today with another treat and a tease with a new book to tempt you! 😜

The Extinction trials by S.M.Wilson

This is my book club pick for Feb/March and we will be discussing it on Friday. The first in a trilogy of dystopian YA books set in a world unlike ours, a world with dinosaurs. It is described as Hunger Games meets Jurassic Park and I have to say so far so good! Let's see if the teasers whet your appetite ... .

1st Paragraph

She couldn't see him. She didn't even know he was there. Lincoln pressed himself against the dark red walls of the cave. Maybe it was the artificial light that made her look so unwell. They'd been rushed out of their old home and moved into this one so quickly that he couldn't even remember when he'd last seen his sister in natural daylight.

Teasers

Fear rolled over Storm like a tidal wave. "Row Row quickly." Terror was eclipsing everything.

The creature rose from nowhere, a dark green flash, jaws wide apart, snarling, fast as lightning. All she could see were the inky fixed eyes and reptilian skin.

What an exciting few sentences! I hope this has made you interested in the book. I have all three to read and will be reviewing this first book on Fridat along with discussing it at our book club meeting!
