I would like to begin by saying a huge thank you to Shari Low, author and Rachels Random resources for allowing me a copy of this book via Netgalley. I jumped to be a part of this book tour as the story sounding so promising. I am glad that I did!

Lets find out some more about the book:

Blurb

Colm O’Flynn was loved by his close circle of family and friends, however his death came too soon for everyone to make peace with their past.

Shauna, his second wife, adored him. But one night she broke their marriage vows, and didn’t get time to ask Colm’s forgiveness.

Jess was the first Mrs O’Flynn. Her heart is set on someone new, but will the last one night stand she shared with Colm come back to haunt her?

Colm’s best friend, Dan, is recently divorced. Can he take a second shot at happiness if it means betraying the one person who always had his back?

What no-one knows is that somewhere out there Colm left messages that could set them free to start over again.

Can divine intervention help them find Colm’s last wishes before it’s too late to love again?

My thoughts

I genuinely loved this book and read it so quickly! It was filled with heart warming moments and laugh out loud statements, as well as dealing with the characters loss and grief throughout.

The characters in this story were brilliant and Shari wrote them with depth and insight. It was so lovely to see the interactions of the people who were as close as family. Even though they may not always have been. Lulu was a character you really loved but could drive you insane, she was so selfish but still had a huge love for her friends so you could see why they forgave her so often. Dan and Jess were the perfect friends for Shauna, both having their own history with Colm and their own feelings and memories of him which gave the group such a fantastic dynamic. All the characters rubbed along so well together (until they didn't - but that's another part of the story) they were the type of people that I would love to hang out with, I want to join their sessions around the wooden dining table putting the worlds to rights and sparring with each other. I loved that element of the dialogue, it was so quick and witty, it really made me laugh.

I loved that the story had 'PS I love you vibes' which was referenced on numerous occasions throughout the book, it was a fitting link to the messages that Colm had left behind, but also done in a very different way.

The story throughout, although dealing with grief, seemed quite light hearted for me and gave me a sense of joy while reading it. However the end, (before the epilogue) made me cry! It was told so well and the conclusion really drew me in and I could feel the emotions the characters were going through.

This is the first of Shari Lows books I have ever read but it most certainly not going to be the last!

Overall this is a book I highly recommend. If you love light hearted humour with emotion and sassy one liners this is a treat for your bookshelf!
